I chose this monitor because it is specially made for gaming. It has a low response time of 2ms which is helpful for gaming, a high refresh rate of 120hz for less choppy graphics, and a 1920 x 1080 screen which is the best supported resolution at the moment. It won't have colours as good as an IPS panel since TN panels are inferior, but TN panels have faster response times and are cheaper in price.
